Physiotherapy & Osteopathy

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists assess, plan and participate in rehabilitative programs and aim to help patients improve or restore movement ability, relieve pain, as well as improve quality of life. Physiotherapists are responsible for diagnosing patients’ dysfunctional movements by conducting physical examination, discussing the proposed treatment with patients, identifying possible risks, expected benefits, and any reasonable alternatives. Physiotherapists evaluate patients’ progress and modify the treatment plan when necessary.

Who is Physiotherapy good for?

Physiotherapy can be sought by all people of all ages and occupations, including manual laborers, housewives, athletes suffering from sports injuries and patients with various clinical injuries and diseases (For example: conditions related to orthopedics, internal medicine, cardiopulmonary medicine, surgery, geriatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and more).

Osteopathy

Osteopaths focus on how a patient’s skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue and internal organs function as a holistic unit, and provide a wide range of hands-on techniques to help resolve issues. They are highly successful in treating a wide range of physical ailments, injuries and conditions including neck and back pain.

Osteopaths will look at their patients’ case history together with a thorough physical evaluation to diagnose and treat the patient’s condition. Past trauma and lifestyle also inform this process. Osteopaths use hands-on techniques ranging from soft tissue massage and stretching, to mobilization or manipulation of joints, in such a way to release restrictions in the body and to provide overall good health and well-being.
